The Griffon Vulture reintroduction project carried out by the International Foundation for Mediterranean Biodiversity in the Madonie has achieved a major success.
After roughly 80 years, this large vulture has returned to nest in the Madonie Park. The pair almost certainly came from the Nebrodi, drawn there by the young Spanish individuals released by the Foundation starting in 2023.
