Invitation to join the Network on Vulture Conservation

Dear Excellencies,

Experts and those responsible for the conservation of vultures in the Mediterranean basin, Europe, and Africa

I am Dr. Salvatore Seminara, General Director of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Sicilia and President of the Fondazione Internazionale Biodiversità del Mediterraneo.

The Fondazione Internazionale Biodiversità del Mediterraneo is an Italian initiative hosted by the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Sicilia, dedicated to the conservation of vultures and wild birds and to combating the extinction of these precious and rare bird species.

Believing in the importance of network cooperation and the sharing of experiences, data, and knowledge, I am writing to you today because we are seeking to create a Network for those interested in the aforementioned area.

The main purpose of this network is to share and harmonize data among the members, so all members will have data on the surrounding and neighboring states.

I think that through this type of networking and cooperation, we will have a comprehensive database system concerning vulture species in our regions. In the near future, we can expand our network to involve additional partners and establish a sort of global network dedicated to vulture conservation, potentially involving other rare wild species.

We hope you will accept to participate in this cross-border cooperation/networking and ask you to share this invitation with others who may be interested in being involved in this Networking.

I take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your valuable attention and consideration, hoping to receive a positive response from you.

Best regards,

Salvatore Seminara
President of the Fondazione Internazionale Biodiversità del Mediterraneo
